How To Cope When Everyone Is A Crab

Yesterday, my whole family was grouchy. Nothing was particularly wrong, but we were all in a mood. My husband was fighting off a cold, we were both tired, the kids were grumpy, and our combined energy was crab city.

For the first 20-minutes of the day, I let the house's grouchy energy direct traffic. I snapped. I threw a few eye rolls at my husband.

But then, I realized that unless we took action, the day would tailspin. Grouchy easily slides into nasty, and no one needs a nasty weekend day. Although the day did not ever get great, we made some quick course corrections that helped it suck...less.
