When I Met My Husband, I Was Full Of Fear
Learning To See, Accept, and Trust Myself Within My Marriage
On Halloween eleven years ago, I sat crying in the kitchen at my friend’s house party. My husband and I had just started dating, and he was out of town for the holiday. Everything was going great between us. No red flags in sight.
But I was absolutely filled with fear. I wanted love, so bad, but as we began to build it together, I was overwhelmed with visceral terror.
Today, I'm sharing reflections on the fears and the wounds I carried into my relationship, complete with quotes from journal entries I wrote at the time.
If you crave love but also fear it, today's Love Note is for you. It's intimate and tender, and I hope it brings you some solace and connection.
