Stick Around

Let's take full advantage of the fact that we are not on Zuckerberg's algorithm right now and talk about porn!

Pornography is such a thorny, nuanced topic. It intersects with personal mental health, relational health, and ethics. I've found that even for couples who are very comfortable talking about sex, porn can be a black box topic. And one thing I do not like is black boxes in your relationship—ideally anything and everything will be on the table!

So let's talk about it. While I could write a dissertation on porn, we're going to focus today on one common struggle.

You know (or have discovered) that your partner watches porn. And you don't love that they do. Perhaps you want them to stop, or change their use, or be more transparent. Maybe they make promises and break them.

What do you do next? How can you approach this sensitive topic with respect and also end up with agreements and boundaries that work for everyone? What actually is fair for you to ask of them when it comes to pornography use? And how can you move forward when you and your partner aren't on the same page about porn?

This one is long and in-depth, so buckle up, and let's get all kinds of into it.
